Privacy Statement

Last updated: 1 June 2026

This page documents the personal information Buzz Bingo collects from visitors, the reasoning behind it, where it is stored, the parties it gets shared with, and the routes for using your rights under UK privacy law. The technical companion — cookies, analytics, browser storage — sits on the Cookie Policy page; this page is the human-readable description of the same arrangement.

Buzz Bingo runs as an independent informational platform; wider background is on the About page. The privacy policy below applies to the Buzz Bingo website only. Once a visitor clicks through to an operator's site, that operator's own privacy policy takes over; Buzz Bingo does not share data with operators except in the narrow form set out further down.

1. The Buzz Bingo hub in a nutshell

Buzz Bingo publishes reviews and guides covering online casinos available to UK players. The flagship operator review is the Buzz Bingo Casino homepage. This site does not host games, run player accounts, accept deposits, hold funds or process withdrawals. There is no signup. There is no login. A default visit involves no data exchange beyond standard web traffic. Where Buzz Bingo does collect personal data — for example when a visitor writes in through the contact channels — what happens to it is documented on the rest of this page.

2. UK privacy laws that apply

Buzz Bingo processes personal information consistent with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, alongside the thirteen UK GDPR principles overseen by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). GDPR rights are also respected for European visitors. CCPA rights are respected for Californian visitors to whatever extent they apply. Wherever a stricter rule applies across these frameworks, it is the stricter rule that wins.

3. What data Buzz Bingo collects from each visitor

Three categories: technical traffic data, voluntarily submitted contact data, and aggregated analytics.

CategoryWhat is collectedWhyLegal basis
Technical traffic dataIP address (anonymised after 24h), browser type, device type, page URL requested, timestamp, referrer.Serve pages, prevent abuse, debug performance issues.Legitimate interest under UK GDPR Article 6 legitimate interest.
Voluntary contact dataName, email address, message content, supporting documents you choose to attach. Submitted only if you write to us.Reply to your enquiry.Consent under UK GDPR consent basis (you provide the data; we use it for the stated purpose).
Aggregated analyticsPseudonymous traffic statistics generated by Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled.Understand which pages are useful and which are not.Consent (you can decline analytics cookies on first visit).

Buzz Bingo does not collect financial data (no payment processing happens on this domain), gambling-account credentials (no accounts are run here), biometric data, location more granular than country level (derived from anonymised IP), or special-category data (race, religion, health, sexual orientation, political opinion). Targeted advertising and remarketing are out of scope; the funding model behind the site sits on the Affiliate Disclosure page.

4. Cookies and similar browser technologies

Full detail on the cookies Buzz Bingo uses, the third-party services that set them, and the routes for controlling them is on the Cookie Policy page. Short version: strictly necessary cookies (page loading, consent-banner state, abuse prevention) are always present; analytics and affiliate-tracking cookies only run with consent given through the cookie banner; the selection can be changed at any point using the footer link.

5. Affiliate links and tracking on casino websites

Three things happen when an outbound operator link on Buzz Bingo is clicked. One, an internal redirect at /go records the click for in-house analytics (regardless of whether the visit actually proceeds). Two, the browser is forwarded onward to the operator's site. Three, the operator may set its own cookies and treat the arrival as a referral attribution. No name, email or other identifying personal data is passed from Buzz Bingo to the operator. The operator simply learns that "a visitor arrived from Buzz Bingo". Where a visitor goes on to register an account on the operator's site, that registration falls under the operator's own privacy policy, not under this one.

6. How long each data type is retained

Where retention is mandated by law for longer — for example, tax records under the HMRC record-keeping requirements covering affiliate-related accounting — the relevant data is held only for the legally mandated window and not reused for any other purpose.

7. External parties that may access any user data

Three controlled categories. Service providers running parts of the Buzz Bingo infrastructure — web hosting, content delivery, email — each working under a written data-processing agreement that restricts use of the data to delivery of the service itself. Analytics providers (Google Analytics 4): IP-anonymised traffic data only, no personally identifying information. Law-enforcement bodies and regulators: solely in response to a valid legal demand, and confined to the data covered by that demand. Buzz Bingo does not sell, rent or trade personal data to anyone, ever.

8. The physical location of data storage

Buzz Bingo infrastructure runs on cloud providers across the UK and the European Economic Area. A handful of service providers — Google Analytics 4 being the notable one — process data inside the United States. Where data leaves the UK, the receiving party is bound either by Standard Contractual Clauses or by an equivalent regime that the ICO has assessed as offering protection at least equal to UK law.

9. The rights every visitor has

Under the UK GDPR and equivalent international laws, you have the following rights with respect to any personal data Buzz Bingo holds about you.

To exercise any of these rights, write to the privacy address listed on the Contact page. Buzz Bingo will respond within 30 days, the timeframe required by the UK GDPR.

10. Children's privacy considerations

Buzz Bingo content is aimed at adult UK readers. The site is not directed at, and not intended for, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that data has been submitted by someone under 18, that data is deleted and (where applicable) the parent or guardian is notified.

11. Security measures we apply

Buzz Bingo applies industry-standard security controls: TLS 1.2+ for all data in transit; access controls and least-privilege rules on internal systems; regular review of who has access to what; logging of administrative actions; periodic third-party penetration testing of the public site. No system is unbreakable; in the event of a personal-data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, the affected individuals will be notified directly and the ICO will be informed in line with the ICO breach notification regime under the UK GDPR.

12. Edits and changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top is revised. Material changes — new categories of data collected, new third-party processors, changed retention periods — are accompanied by a banner on the home page for at least 30 days. Minor housekeeping changes (rewording, link updates) do not trigger a banner.

13. Contact channels for privacy questions

Privacy-related questions are best directed through the privacy contact listed on the Contact page. Editorial questions about Buzz Bingo content go through the editorial channel; correction requests are governed by the procedure on the Editorial Policy page. Player-safety guidance applicable to anyone reading this site is on the Responsible Gambling page.
